Target will price match only items from Target.com, Walmart and Amazon as of August 2024. According to the Target price match policy, price matches are permitted within 14 days of your purchase or at the time of purchase.

There are a few standard exclusions in Target’s price match policy. For example, they will only match online prices for products sold and shipped directly by Target, excluding third-party sellers. Additionally, online price matching is not available for customers in Alaska or Hawaii.

Also, keep in mind Target has a special Holiday Price Match Guarantee.

How Do I Price Match at Target?

All you need to do is bring proof of the lower price to a nearby Target store and present it to associates at checkout or the Guest Services desk. For purchases made at Target.com, contact Target Customer Service or call (800) 591-3869.

Best Buy

You can obtain a Best Buy price match at the time of purchase or within the return and exchange window, which is typically 15 days after your purchase.

Best Buy will only match online prices if they are offered directly by the other retailer, excluding third-party sellers. Additionally, Best Buy will not price match special daily or hourly sale prices, nor will they match prices for items that drop in price from the Friday before Thanksgiving through the Monday after Thanksgiving.

Kohl’s

Kohl’s fully price matches Kohl’s.com. And while they will price match most other stores, their policy has a lot of exclusions for certain products or brands. You’ll need to check if your item qualifies for a price match. The window for requesting a price match is 14 days. Although you can’t use Kohl’s coupons in conjunction with a price match, you can still use Kohl’s Cash.

Michaels

Michaels is one of the top stores for price matching! You have seven days after your purchase to request a price match. Michaels will match the prices of physical retail stores for items that are exactly the same and currently available at both Michaels and the competitor’s store.

Michaels also matches prices from a wide range of online retailers. Their exclusions are standard: they do not match volume or wholesale pricing (such as from Costco or Sam’s Club) or prices for clearance, closeout, or used items.

JCPenney

JCPenney Price Match policy states that they will price match nearly any competitor! They’ll also match prices from online retailers like Amazon, as long as the item is sold directly by the retailer and not through a third-party seller. You can still apply eligible coupons and discounts, including employee discounts, when requesting a price match. JCPenney is willing to match prices from wholesale retailers like Costco and Sam’s Club, but only if the price is available to everyone—if a membership is required, they won’t match it.

Note that price matching is not available at JCPenney locations in Alaska or on military bases like PX/BX or NEX locations.

How Do I Price Match at JCPenney?

Newegg

Newegg will match prices on identical items from major retailers within 14 days of your purchase, provided the item isn’t from an auction site, a third-party seller, or part of a clearance or closeout sale. They also won’t price match items that are subject to MAP (minimum advertised price) policies, which prevent them from offering a price lower than a set amount.

Nordstrom will price match within 10 days of purchase. They offer price matching for identical items from their vendor websites and direct competitors.

However, some exclusions apply. Price matching is not available for items from outlet stores, flash sales, auctions, or third-party marketplaces. Additionally, the item must be in stock at both Nordstrom and the selected competitor to qualify for a price match.

Dick’s Sporting Goods

Dick’s Sporting Goods Price Match Policy offers some fairly accommodating terms. They will match prices from any local competitor within a 25-mile radius, as well as from a variety of online retailers. The time window is 14 days of your purchase. They also extend price matching to their sister stores, Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream, and will match sale prices from eligible retailers.

However, their price match policy excludes items sold by third-party sellers (such as those on Amazon) and does not cover flash sales, buy-one-get-one offers, or items from outlets and clearance sections. Additionally, they do not match prices from wholesale retailers like Costco or Sam’s Club.

While PetSmart is generally accommodating with price matching, there’s a slight limitation to be aware of.

PetSmart does not offer price matching on live animals or services such as grooming. Additionally, they won’t match prices on BOGO offers, “free gift with purchase” promotions, or items from Amazon, eBay, or auction sites.
