Which Stores Give Price Adjustment?
Is there anything more irritating that purchasing something and then seeing it go on sale a day or two later? I know it’s happened to me, and it is really frustrating! Luckily, there are several stores that offer price adjustment when this happens. That means you’ll get the difference between the price you paid and the sale price back in the form of a refund. Awesome!

1. Abercrombie & Fitch Price Adjustment
Abercrombie & Fitch will refund the difference between the price you paid and the reduced price, if the merchandise meets all of the following criteria:
- The price of the item is subsequently reduced within 7 days of the date of your in-store purchase.
- The merchandise is in its original condition.
- You have the original sales receipt, invoice, or order confirmation.
To receive a price adjustment at Abercrombie, go to your nearest store with your item and original sales receipt. Note that only one price adjustment per item is permitted. You can see details here.
For online orders, you can ask for price adjustment within 14 days of the date of your order. It’s applicable for merchandise purchased at the full price. Each item you purchase is eligible for only one price adjustment. 2. Ann Taylor Price Adjustment
Price adjustments at Ann Taylor are not applicable to special promotions, including percentage discounts (e.g., 25%, 40%, 50%, etc.) and dollar-off discounts. However, a one-time price adjustment may be requested within 7 days of the original purchase date for merchandise bought at full price that has been marked down for the first time. Note that they are unable to process price adjustments for online orders. More info here.
3. Anthropologie Price Adjustment
Anthropologie offers a one-time price adjustment on full-price purchases only and you have 14 days to request it. For store purchases, visit your local store. For online or phone orders, contact them. Note that price adjustments for online and phone orders cannot be made in stores (and vice versa), and price adjustments are not applicable to shipping charges. View the policy here.
4. Athleta Price Adjustment
At Athleta, you can get a price adjustment on any merchandise you purchased where you did not use a coupon or discount, unless you used only a free shipping discount. Request the adjustment within 14 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. Go here for more information.
5. Banana Republic Price Adjustment
Banana Republic offers price adjustment on any merchandise you purchased where you did not use a coupon or discount, unless you used only a free shipping discount. 6. Best Buy Price Adjustment
At Best Buy, you can request a price adjustment within 15 days of your purchase. The item must be identical and available at a lower price at Best Buy or on BestBuy.com. Process: For in-store purchases, bring your receipt to the store. For online purchases, you can call Best Buy customer service at +1-888-237-8289 to request the adjustment. 7. The Children’s Place Price Adjustment
You can get a price adjustment at The Children’s Place on non-sale merchandise within 7 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. To request an adjustment online, contact their customer service. Must have receipt or order number. Go here for the details.
8. Costco Price Adjustment
Request a price adjustment at Costco within 30 days. Valid on both in-store and online purchases. For online, submit your request here. Must have receipt. Go here to chat with a customer service rep and get the details.
9. Dick’s Sporting Goods Price Adjustment
You can get a price adjustment at Dick’s Sporting Goods on non-sale merchandise within 14 days of purchase. Applicable to both online and in-store purchases. For online adjustments, call 1-877-846-9997. Must have receipt. See more info here.
10. Express Price Adjustment
Get a price adjustment at Express within 14 days of purchase. Valid for in-store purchases only. Must have receipt. No price adjustments will be given during storewide sales. See the policy here.
11. Gap Price Adjustment
You can get an adjustment at GAP on any merchandise you purchased where you did not use a coupon or discount on it (except free shipping codes) within 14 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. See more information here.
12. Gymboree Price Adjustment
You can get a price adjustment at Gymboree within 7 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. To receive a price adjustment for full retail priced items that went on sale within 7 days after the initial purchase date, bring the receipt to any store location. 13. Hollister Price Adjustment
Request a price adjustment at Hollister within 14 days. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. If the original purchase was in-store, return to the store with the item and your original purchase receipt. If you purchased online, email them at Hollisterco@Hollisterco.com. 14. Home Depot Price Adjustment
At The Home Depot, get a price adjustment within 14 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. See more details here.
15. J.Crew Price Adjustment
You can get an adjustment at J.Crew within 7 days of purchase. Sale merchandise is excluded. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. View the adjustment policy here.
16. JCPenney Price Adjustment
Within 14 days after your purchase, just bring the ad to a JCPenney store and they’ll adjust the price. Does not include: JCPenney Salon Services, Optical, Portrait, In-Home Custom Window Treatments or Services. For online purchases, call customer care at 1-800-322-1189. 17. Kohl’s Price Adjustment
You can get a price adjustment at Kohl’s on full price or sale merchandise within 14 days of purchase. Excludes BOGO sales and clearance markdowns. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. See the policy here.
18. Macy’s Price Adjustment
You can get an adjustment at Macy’s on any merchandise you purchased where you did not use a coupon or discount on it within 10 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. See more details here.
19. Nordstrom Price Adjustment
Request the price adjustment at Nordstrom within 10 days. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. For online requests, submit here. Designer items that were purchased when sale priced are excluded. Must have receipt or order number. You can see the policy here.
20. Old Navy Price Adjustment
At Old Navy, you can get a refund on any merchandise you purchased where you did not use a coupon or discount on it (except free shipping codes) within 14 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. See details here.
21. Staples Price Adjustment
If you purchase an item from Staples.com and tell them within 14 days that you found that item at a lower price on Staples.com, they will refund the difference except for special events (i.e. clearance, timed sales, liquidation, ‘Black Friday’, ‘Cyber Monday’). For in-store purchases, they will adjust their price to both in-store and online Staples prices. See the policy here.
22. Target Price Adjustment
You can get a price adjustment at Target within 14 days of purchase. Valid for both online and in-store purchases. To request a price adjustment, provide proof of the current lower price at Guest Services in your local Target store. For Target.com purchases, call Guest Services at 1-800-591-3869. 23. Toys R Us/Babies R Us Price Adjustment
Price adjustment at Toys R Us will only be made if an item is further reduced in price within 10 days of when you purchased it and only if the original purchase was made without a promotion code. Price adjustments are valid for ToysRUs.com prices only and cannot be adjusted to price match competitors. Must have receipt or order number. Go here for the details.
24. Victoria’s Secret Price Adjustment
Price adjustments at Victoria’s Secret can be made within 14 days from the ship date of your online purchase. Sale price must be for the same style, color, and size as the product purchased. To receive a price adjustment, have your order number, the item number for the product, the current selling price available on VS website, and contact them. Price adjustments do not apply to Limited Time Offers/Promotions or Flash Sales.

25. Walmart Price Adjustment
The length of time you have to request a price adjustment at Walmart varies; see your Walmart receipt for an exact time. Valid only for in-store purchases. Must have receipt or order number. Adjustments on items sold on Walmart.com are not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. Go here for more details.
