• Favorite Things Friday: Dinner Winner Kids Dinner Trays (Making Meal Time Fun)

UPDATE: This Giveaway is now over! Winner announcement has been posted on my homepage. See more Giveaways being dropped on my blog here.

My son Ryan is kind of a picky eater (he takes after my husband, Mr FSF ). While my daughter Sophie isn’t a picky eater, she would start to mimic her brother’s behaviors (and verbal complaints), and before you know it, meal times can turn into a battle of wills. Me vs them. And it usually ends in tears.

Then last year I discovered these plates made by Fred & Friends called “Dinner Winner“. They are designed to encourage kids to finish their food. If you follow me on SnapChat, you may have seen me use these plates when preparing meals for my kids.

I LOVE these trays! They are so fun and colorful. Each tray is set up like a little board game, where you follow a “map” of food to a ” hidden treasure”.  When you finish the trail of food, the last placement is a covered spot for a hidden treat.   This is your “bait”. #Genius!

The first day I brought these plates out, they were an instant hit! And they really did motivate both my kiddos to finish their food, including things they didn’t like. I’ve since gotten these trays in pretty much every pattern . They really do make mealtime more fun, and can motivate and encourage picky eaters to finish their meals (and even try new things). I typically put a little piece of chocolate in the treat spot and that does the trick.

Anyway, it’s been a lot of fun preparing their meals and watching them use these trays. If you have a fussy eater, or you just want to add some fun into meal time, I recommend checking these plates out. They come in 5 different patterns.

My 2 year old loves broccoli, chicken nuggets, soup & rice. I’m hoping this little gadget will get her excited to try new foods. The only way I can sneak in more veggies and fruits is making smoothies and freezing the rest for ice pops.

My little Ethan is picky eater, too. He only likes to eat fruits, no meat. Therefore, to encourage him to eat, I sometimes have to mix his favorite fruits with meals ( like chopped watermelon with rice). Hope I can win one of the plate, it might helps him to love his foods. Thanks.

I’d love this for my youngest who is an extremely picky eater! I currently use food chaining to get him to eat more, he has to eat something he doesn’t love to get something he does love, and maybe I can do that with this tray so I can actually eat too!

Incentives are how I get my 5 year old son to do everything! These would be great in getting him to try new food! He’s a very picky eater and his almost 2 year old sister mimics everything he does 🙁 meal time is not fun! Norwalk, CA

I would love this plate for my extremely picky eater 7 year old. It is sooo frustrating trying to get her to eat right. She tries to eat snack all day over actual meals. The one meal of the day that I do not have trouble with is breakfast! She loves breakfast (eggs, pancakes, etc). Even with her eggs she’s picky though! She wants them to be fluffy and if they’re over Cooked she’ll try to get away with not eating them. I’m going to go through comments to see what advice other have and hopefully find one that works!!

My adorable 5 year old nephew is a fussy, picky eater. He just started kindergarten a few days ago. All he wants to eat is nuggets, fries, pizza etc. I really want him to eat balanced, healthy, meals at dinner time. I would love to try him with that dinner tray. I would be a winner aunt in both his eyes and his mom. Win-win for everyone 🙂
