People as customers from time to time file a lawsuit against a certain company for some damage they suffered on the account of the company failing to stay up to the values they promised to provide. You may also be a part of a certain group of customers that qualify for a money refund as a result of a so-called Class Action Settlement being issued.
A list of Companies, Products, and Settlements along with certain details about what was the issue at hand, how much and in which way a certain amount of money can be claimed follows, so you can check and benefit from a situation where you have knowingly or unknowingly been damaged.
Class Action Settlements 2024
Walmart Weighted Groceries Class Action Settlement
Right now, thereâs an ongoing $45 million Walmart Weighted Groceries Class Action Settlement. You might be eligible to benefit from it.
If you bought weighted goods like beef, chicken, ham, pork, turkey, veal, and seafood, or bagged citrus (like oranges, grapefruit, and tangerines) at Walmart in the U.S or Puerto Rico between October 19, 2018, and January 19, 2024, you could qualify.
- With proof of purchase, you can receive up to $500.
- No proof? No worries. You can still get $10 to $25 based on the number of weighted goods or bagged citrus you claim to have bought during the settlement period. If you claim over 101 items, you can get up to $25.
The claim deadline is June 5th, 2024. You can file your claim online here or by mail to Walmart Weighted Groceries Settlement, c/o Claims Administrator 1650 Arch Street, Suite 2210 Philadelphia, PA19103.
Panera Bread Class Action Settlement
Panera Bread agreed to a 2 million dollar class action settlement to resolve claims that they have misled their customers by marking up their in-app menu prices for food by surcharging in-app delivery fees. The class period includes orders made through their app or website from October 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021. Eligible class members can receive either a cash payment of up to $12 or two vouchers for Soups and Mac Panera Bread menu items which has a value of $19 in total.
To submit a claim, simply fill out the form here on or before June 10th. No proof of purchase is required but you will be asked to provide the phone number you used to place an order during the said time frame. Macy’s CVC Sheets Class Action Settlement
Attention shoppers! You can file a claim in the Macy’s Bed Sheet Class Action Lawsuit Settlement if you bought bed sheets between 2013 and 2023, regardless of whether you have proof of purchase. Customers who purchased one or more CVC Sheets supplied by AQ Textiles, LLC from a Macy’s store in the United States, Guam, or through Macys.com, are included in the settlement.
During the specified time period, Macy’s promoted and sold bed sheets with inflated thread counts, according to the lawsuit. Class members will receive $7.50 per unit of CVC Sheets with proof of purchase. Class members will receive $2.50 per household if they do not provide proof of purchase.
You must complete and submit a Claim Form no later than one hundred eighty calendar days after the Effective Date to be eligible for a settlement payment. You can fill out and submit a Claim Form here. Claim Forms can also be obtained by calling 1-844-483-0488 or emailing info@cvcsheetsettlement.com.
Disney Magic Key Settlement
If you were one among the thousands of people who purchased the Disneyland Magic Key “Dream Pass” each year, take note. If you discovered that you couldn’t make park reservations on specific days in 2021 despite being guaranteed “no blockout dates,” you’re a part of this class action settlement. Everyone who qualifies for this settlement will get a payment for $67.41. That’s less than 5% of the Dream Pass’s $1,399 price tag. No proof needed, a third-party company will contact you and explain how to get paid. Don’t expect to be paid anytime soon. The court must approve this settlement, which might take months or even years. Only then, a check will be sent your way.
