Are you an AT&T customer who had an unlimited data plan between October 1, 2011, and June 30, 2015? If so, you may be eligible for a share of the remaining $7 million settlement from AT&T for not properly informing customers about reduced data speeds.
According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), AT&T engaged in “data throttling,” which means that they reduced customer data speeds once they reached a certain limit of usage in a monthly billing period, without notifying customers of the practice. In some cases, this resulted in data speeds so slow that it became difficult or nearly impossible to use common phone applications like web browsing and video streaming.
If you believe you are entitled to this settlement, you can directly submit a claim here. To qualify, you must be a former AT&T customer with an unlimited plan between October 1, 2011, and June 30, 2015, and have not received a bill credit or refund check from AT&T. If you need help or have any questions, you can also reach out to 877-654-1982 or email info@ATTDATAThrottling.com.
Don’t miss out on your chance to get a share of the settlement. The deadline to file a claim is May 18, 2023. Additionally, you can help protect yourself and other customers by reporting cases of data throttling at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
