I worked in Special Education for 13 years with children who have severe Autism. We used weighted blankets when the children would be going through some difficult times with sensory issues. All of them loved rolling up like a burrito in the blanket. I guess it made them feel more grounded vs as if they had little gravity keeping them from flying. They did not know how to communicate well enough to tell me. Just sharing in case anyone has a child with autism who has not tried a weighed vest or blanket.

They are smaller, not designed to drape off of the bed. The weight is supposed to be around 10% of your body weight (give or take). There are supposed to be physiological calming effects from the applied weight/pressure. (I thought I read it created an oxytocin release.) You could prob find some answers doing a quick internet search. Im just trying one for the first time. So it’s new to me.
