Visa and Mastercard have agreed to a massive $167.5 million class action settlement to resolve long-standing antitrust allegations. The lawsuit claims that the credit card giants conspired to artificially inflate access fees at independent, non-bank ATMs. Under the terms of the new agreement, Visa will contribute $88.77 million, and Mastercard will pay $78.72 million into a fund dedicated to reimbursing impacted consumers.
The claim deadline is February 10th, 2027, and the exclusion deadline is December 11th, 2026. The hearing is scheduled for February 17th, 2027.Â
