Teacher Appreciation Week Freebies & Deals

It’s that time of the year again when we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week. During these days, educators across the country will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to shaping young minds. To honor this special occasion, many restaurants and businesses are offering freebies and discounts to all teachers.

We’ve listed some stores that offered discounts and freebies last year, and we are expecting them to offer something similar for this year’s celebration. Also, you can check out others that have already announced their deals for this year. Scroll down!

Free Colgate Classroom Kits

Kindergarten and first-grade teachers! Colgate is offering a free Bright Smiles Bright Futures Kit that you can request for your classroom. The kit is full of easy-to-use classroom materials that support curriculum standards, plus Colgate toothpaste and toothbrush samples for students! All you need to do is go to this page and fill out the request form. Do note that the kits need to be sent to a school address.

Costco

Sign up for a Costco membership and receive a Shop Card. New Executive members will receive a $40 Shop Card, while Gold Star members will get a $20 Shop Card. Get yours here!

FREE School Supplies

If you teach at a school that’s at least 50% qualified for the National School Lunch Program, you can get access to free school supplies! Kids in Need Foundation offers eligible teachers up to 24 boxes full of school supplies like pencils, notebooks, erasers, and more. Check out the details here!

Also, check out Expensify – they will reimburse teachers (who work at min. 900 hours per school year) 50% for school supplies. Visit their site for full instructions on how to register and submit receipts (reimbursement of up to $50 per expense).

Eyemart Express

Any school employee (including educators, nurses, custodial staff, food service, even bus drivers) at an accredited public or private school PK -12, college, or university will be able to get a 20% discount (in store only) at Eyemart Express! You need to have a proper school ID and this offer is valid year-round.

Crocs

Crocs are treating teachers with a 15% off discount on full-priced items when they shop online. By proving a teacher status through ID.me they get a one-time use code to be used at checkout! More info here!

Chicken Salad Chick

On May 9th, Chicken Salad Chick offers buy one, get one free large Quick Chick Salads. Don’t miss it!

Dunn Brothers Coffee

Dunn Brothers Coffee offers two medium coffee drinks for just $10! You can choose from several flavors.

HTeaO

Through May 8th, HTeaO offers to all teachers and nurses buy one get one free on all cups of tea! Note that you must provide a valid ID to score the offer.

McAlister’s Deli

Through May 8th, McAlister’s Deli celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week by giving away a free Big Tea – you must show valid school ID and this is available in-store only!

Mountain Mike’s Pizza

Through May 8th, Mountain Mike’s Pizza celebrates Teacher’s Week by offering $15 off any pizza with promo code, online or through their app!

Whataburger

On May 7th, Whataburger offers teachers and school employees a free breakfast entree from 5 AM to 9 AM! They can enjoy Taquito with Cheese, Breakfast on a Bun, or the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.

Office Depot

Through June 28th, Office Depot or Office Max offers Teacher-exclusive coupon that gives 20% discount on qualifying purchases! Note that you must present a valid teacher ID to score the offer.

Smoothie King

Smoothie King is offering educators a discount on their Smoothie King order when they show a valid work ID.

Shake Shack

Through May 12th, select Shake Shack locations are offering a free ShackBurger or VeggieShack with $10 purchase!  You must show valid ID and there is a limit of one per order.

Staples

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, Staples offers to teachers 20% off in-store purchases! Also, teachers can score a free 12-pack of Tru Red Stick Pens and color printing for just 59¢ per page. To score those offers, teachers must provide a valid teacher ID!

Lenovo

Lenovo offers teachers and students an extra 5% off sitewide! They can save on laptops, tablets, and many more items. To score the offer, verify your status and you’ll get the discount auto-applied.

Samsung

Samsung has the Education Offers Program where teachers can save uo to 30% off on Samsung items such as smartphones, appliances, and many more. Simply sign up with your .edu e-mail and complete ID.me verification at checkout.

Applebee’s

Through May 8th, teachers (with valid ID) who dine in at Applebee’s during National Teacher Appreciation Week will receive a free Triple Chocolate Meltdown, Cinnabon Mini Swirls, Sizzlin’ Butter Pecan Blondie, Caramel Apple Pie, or Brownie Bite.

Buffalo Wild Wings

From May 8th to May 10th, in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Week, all teachers and school faculty got 20% off their meals at Buffalo Wild Wings when they present their faculty ID. Offer is valid for dine-in, call-in, and walk-in orders only.

Dickey’s BBQ Pit

Calling all teachers! Visit Dickey’s Barbecue Pit where you can get a discount on your in-store purchase. Simply show your valid employment ID.

Sonic

Through May 8th, Sonic is offering five free deals for all Teachers’ Circle members: Buy one Sonic Blast, get one free, free snack with side purchase and Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger for $1.99. To take advantage of this offer, simply sign up for the Sonic Teachers’ Circle on the Sonic app and then present your membership at the time of purchase.

The Parking Spot

The Parking Spot is offering educators 25% off parking when you sign up with an associated education email account.
