    IKEA Settlement Check

Update: I received my settlement check today, so if you filed a claim be on the lookout!

If you are one of those who filed a claim by May 4th this year regarding the IKEA Settlement, then you should be eligible for a share of the $24,250,000 settlement fund. I received my check this month of October with the amount close to what was expected which was between $30 and $60 each for those who filed a claim. This is regarding those customers who used a credit or debit card to purchase something at an IKEA retail location in the United States between Oct. 18, 2017, and Dec. 31, 2019, which had an electronically generated paper receipt that showed the first six and last four digits of their card numbers.

Lol…..the reason is that they were bought out…..the current bank I have said months ago that there is no way to retrieve statements from the old bank. Basically, they no longer exist

Oh darn! Then I’m afraid there’s no way to check which card was used for your purchase during the qualifying period. But maybe someone from the community have other suggestions.

Wow from 5 1/2 years ago? How would I know which card? Plus since my bank changed 3 times since then I have no way of getting that info. Any ideas?

Oh no! Maybe you can reach out to your previous banks during the listed timeframe to see if they can check your card statements for you and confirm if you have made any purchases at IKEA that time.

      What about online shopping?

What if I made multiple purchases over those dates? Do I fill out a claim for each one?

Hi Mike! I’m not 100% sure. It’s not listed on their site. It only says shoppers who used a credit or debit card to purchase at IKEA between Oct. 18, 2017 and Dec. 31, 2019 may be eligible. But on their FAQs, it says you can always call the Class Counsel with any questions at (954) 589-0588. I’m sure they’ll have a much clearer answer for you. If you can, please keep us posted!

How do you mail it out? And what if I paid cash??? Since I didn’t use my card

Hello there! Unfortunately, I’m not sure if those who paid in cash are eligible for the settlement, but you can still try your luck by clicking on the pink link in this post, downloading the claim form, and mailing it to the address provided on the said form. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!

Thank you for letting us know. Now I need to check my bank statements to find which credit or debt card(s) I used during that timeframe.

Ahhw, I wished I had kept my receipts to verify this even though no proof of receipt is needed
