• Favorite Things Friday: Dinner Winner Kids Dinner Trays (Making Meal Time Fun)

UPDATE: This Giveaway is now over! Winner announcement has been posted on my homepage. See more Giveaways being dropped on my blog here.

My son Ryan is kind of a picky eater (he takes after my husband, Mr FSF ). While my daughter Sophie isn’t a picky eater, she would start to mimic her brother’s behaviors (and verbal complaints), and before you know it, meal times can turn into a battle of wills. Me vs them. And it usually ends in tears.

Then last year I discovered these plates made by Fred & Friends called “Dinner Winner“. They are designed to encourage kids to finish their food. If you follow me on SnapChat, you may have seen me use these plates when preparing meals for my kids.

I LOVE these trays! They are so fun and colorful. Each tray is set up like a little board game, where you follow a “map” of food to a ” hidden treasure”.  When you finish the trail of food, the last placement is a covered spot for a hidden treat.   This is your “bait”. #Genius!

The first day I brought these plates out, they were an instant hit! And they really did motivate both my kiddos to finish their food, including things they didn’t like. I’ve since gotten these trays in pretty much every pattern . They really do make mealtime more fun, and can motivate and encourage picky eaters to finish their meals (and even try new things). I typically put a little piece of chocolate in the treat spot and that does the trick.

Anyway, it’s been a lot of fun preparing their meals and watching them use these trays. If you have a fussy eater, or you just want to add some fun into meal time, I recommend checking these plates out. They come in 5 different patterns.

My youngest son is 4 years old he is ASD non verbal. And I am always trying to open his appetite or introduce new ways of needs foods. He only eats about 6 different foods. He had a 6 year old brother and always watches what he eats as well. I think this plate is awesome!

I’d love this for my daughter she’s on the spectrum and getting her to eat is a struggle. Maybe having an insentive will help.

I would like to have this for my 3 yr old boy who likes to eat only chicken nuggets and fries! It would be a great to fill his plates with a variety of food to try and taste! I love the idea of this plate where you get the surprise reward at the end which is a dessert!

I’m a first time mom I live in Chicago and love this for my daughter she loves food and I think when she understands more this would be great for her. And I would love one for my nephew (godchild) that is 4 as well. He is a very picky eater and this would be fun for him. So he can understand the importance of eating his food first and receiving a snack at the end. Which he does not understand so well. And this might help him.

I’d love this for my 3 year old daughter. She loves a variety of foods but I struggle with the presentation of the foods sometimes. If it looks odd or weird, she won’t touch it. She loves fruits and veggies but meats not so much. I think this plate would definitely be a hit with her especially since there’s a treat at the end!!!

I would love this for my 2 year old daughter. She is not a picky eater and the hidden treasure would be great for her. On the other hand i hope this would motivate my 4 year son to eat his food better. Hes a little picky and i have a hard time. Sometimes when hes not picky he just takes long to finish his food.

I’m from Pittsburgh and I have two boys, they are 2 and 4. I have an incredibly hard tome getting them to eat. They never want what we are eating, I make them what they ask for and they refuse to eat that too!! I am looking constantly for ways to get them to eat… anything!!! These plates are awesome and they might just be what I need to try!!
