After 35 years of holding the price of $1, Dollar Tree has announced that they would be raising the price of the majority of its products to $1.25 in all stores by early 2022.
Dollar Tree said that the slightly higher prices will give the them more flexibility to reintroduce many “customer favorites” that were previously discontinued because of the $1 price point and for them to introduce new products to its shelves.
The company said the higher price point is a permanent move, and not the result of âshort-term or transitory market conditions”. It was also announced that the $1.25 price point will be rolled out to more than 2,00 Dollar Tree stores this coming December.

This has been implemented in NYC already. I was baffled when I walked into a dollar tree and saw it was $1.25, I find that ridiculous đ
I agree with what you are saying there not raising it for more items to be put on shelves they raised it because more people are shopping there and the owners got greedy
Well thats not shocking Walmart always does and the rich selfish will never pay more or hire full time employees. if they keep people at parttime they don’t have to give benefits which includes health care.
If I remember correctly Family Dollar bought out Dollar Tree.. I had a feeling things wouldn’t stay $1..I’ve seen items from $1.25 up to about $5 in there the other day.. Even though the prices are not the same, I will still shop there…
Sounds like they are turning into the rest of the dollar stores that arenât actually dollar stores!!!!

I beyond agree with you on that! Why don’t they raise our wages to match all this inflation?
I understand the increase, and I’ll still go there, but frankly I don’t think even some of their dollar items are worth even a dollar so I kind of hope that they don’t make everything $1.25 that they keep some of the really cheap stuff to a dollar… because face it half the stuff breaks by the time you use it once or twice
at the dollar tree near my house this has already taken place .
