these are a whole different thing.. some hints, rules….these are very hard to find deals. you need to treat it like a secret treasure hunt. staff is not allowed to discuss. staff was to have all listed items removed from shelves. Staff will NOT override prices. items Do not penny at every single store at once. do not ask them to assist, do not ask them to help you find them. do not ask for price checks. FIRST rule is just like fight club, do not to talk about it. if you find one, buy them all. Staff has to remove any that you do not buy. do not trash the stores, or the items, please donate, use, repurpose, sell… Food items may be expired or close to, they may refuse to sell expired items, and that is their job. it will be disappointing, but it is what it is.
when i go, i will spend hours and go to multiple stores. many times to return w very little. rare occasions, I’ll come home w car load. Study the lists, Phone needs to be charged fully as you will have to scan & scan in the DG app. Many items will look like a match but will have minor differences, which is why scanning is important. what you see in the app as available is not always accurate. Please don’t make a mess while hunting. Please do not be rude to staff. We want to be able to continue.

Hi Kim! It varies per store. Not all stores may have the same items on markdown. So make sure to scan them first next time you visit your local store to confirm the price.
is this only on Tuesdays because I’m just now seeing it and it’s on Wednesday today so are we able to get the deal the week of or just on that day and thank you very much
Hi Jenny! They don’t have a time limit per se, but since these items get sold out or pulled from the shelves pretty quickly, it’s recommended to go as soon as you can after the weekly list is up.

When you open the Dollar General app, you will see the search bar at the top, and in the right corner of the bar there’s a little bar code icon. Click on that, scan the product barcode and see what price it shows. Hope this helps!

Scan with your phone
I tried this a few weeks ago and nearly everything I scanned came up as either Out of Stock or Not Sold In This Location. There were a few items that showed up with their regular price, but mostly it was a bunch of stuff that apparently should not have existed at that particular store.
Ah yes, it’s been known to happen. The only thing we can do is go in every Tuesday and hope for the best.

I found some items for a penny on Dollar General with the app, but when I went to the register on their side, it wonât come out as penny, and the employee did not want to sell it to me. They said itâs impossible and if their side of the register comes out different price, they wonât sell it. I found few items and unfortunately they didnât wanna sell it to me.
Yes, unfortunately, that can happen. Another reader in the comments, MsShuga71, shared the same reminder as well. They can’t override the price at the register. Also, please note that this list isn’t final. Some stores might have it, while some might not.
