Hey there, bargain lovers! Did you know Dollar General hides amazing deals on their shelves – for just a penny? No coupons are needed, just a little hunting spirit. This short guide will show you the ropes of penny shopping at Dollar General, so you can score incredible finds. So, What is the Dollar General Penny List?
Think of it like a treasure map for penny shoppers! The list shows items they marked down to $0.01 because they’re due for removal from the shelves. Sometimes, these gems get missed, and that’s your chance to snag them!
What is Dollar General Penny List
These deals aren’t fathered in one spot, so get ready for an adventure! Here’s a tip: clearance sections are great hunting grounds, but don’t neglect the regular aisles either. Remember, these are items employees might have missed, so be a friendly detective! Here are some penny shopping tips:
- Know the Rules: Technically, employees should sell you penny items. Be polite and remind them of the policy if needed.
- Quick Grab: Once you spot a penny item, grab what you want because a heads-up at the register might get them pulled.
- Respect the Hustle: Employees don’t have time for penny item hunts. Don’t ask them for help or complain – let them focus on their tasks.
- Beware of Penny Reset: Penny-priced items go back to regular price when restocked, so grab them before the new season arrives!
- Tech to the Rescue: Use the Dollar General app to scan items and check prices before heading to the register.
- Stay Updated: Check this post every Tuesday for the latest Dollar General Penny List!
Check out the Dollar General Penny List:
Just keep in mind that these items need to be verified in-store – nothing is final.

hi Virginia I love the app!! but can you tell me how to get the blur from the app off the screen on my phone ?it’s really hard to see the deals it must be new or the app has updated or changed in the last few days..I was just wondering if it is a new look for the app
Hello Kelly! That’s odd. I don’t see that blur on the FSF app. Could you please send me a screenshot of it?
Where is December penny list that is November
Hey Gloria! There was no penny list for Dec 10th. We are expecting the new one tomorrow. I’ll make sure to post once I see the new one.
I had no clue!! I’m so excited! Thanks for the amazing “inside scoop”! I will keep coming back to check for the the lists!
I never knew this! Thanks. Will keep checking for updates.
You’re so welcome!
Is there a new list out for December? I found baby diapers for a penny. The cashier wouldn’t sell them to me! Saying she had to throw them away. Letting her and everyone else in the store that she was not going to throw them, she was going to bring them home!!!
I’m sorry to hear that happened to you! Unfortunately, it’s up to the cashier to use their discretion when it comes to penny items. As for December list, I’ll update the post as soon as I get m hands on the info.
No it is not up to the cashier whether they sell them or not. Company policy says that they have to sell them to you and then if there are any left on the shelf they are to be pulled. Even my manager doesn’t refuse to sell penny items.
You’re absolutely correct – it should be exactly as the company policy says. But unfortunately, seems like there are locations where the policy isn’t honored the way it’s supposed to. Which should of course be reported.
That is such bs and a power trip on her end to not help a mom & child how gross of her I’m sorry
are you going to be able to update the penny list at Dollar general soon
We are working on it Bobbie. Thank you for the reminder!
Is there a list for this week?
