From November 3rd, Netflix made a new plan available to their subscribers in the US starting at only $6.99 per month. The new Basic with Ads option as they call it features all things people love about Netflix and gives access to an even wider audience to the shows and series everybody’s talking about but with few ads in between. The ads are in 15 and 30 seconds format with an average of 4-5 minutes of ads per hour.
Netflix Launched a New $6.99 Monthly Plan
The new plan is an addition to the ad-free Basic, Standard and Premium options and it’s not intended to affect any of them and is currently available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, the UK, and the US. Similar to their basic option, Basic with Ads will feature a wide variety of TV Shows and Movies across many TV and mobile devices. Check the whole announcement here and share some thoughts on it!

Hulu shows ads during movies. it’s pretty annoying. I can see doing it during tv series, but a movie? I don’t like it. I’ve been trained ads happen during tv shows, not movies. be different if it was before the movie like a preview.

Hi Beth! Just sign in to your account and under plan details, select change plan then select update. If by any change you can’t see “Change Plan” under the plan details, get in touch with their customer service. I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to help you out too!

Hello there! This Basic with Ads is a new plan that Netflix launched a few days ago. This is cheaper (only $6.99) compared to its Basic plan which costs $9.99 a month. Hope this answers your question!

there are 10 mins of ads out of 1 hour , . not sure if great plan
It stated 4-5 minutes of ads per hour. At 15-30 seconds a pop. But that does seem like a lot of interruptions (easily 10 interruptions 8 at the least).
