My family gathers all together and we all have a cooking contest. One year we were all supposed to make a winning dessert and my aunts pumpkin pie won. She later admitted it was store bought but used her own packaging to make it seem as if she had made it.

My favorite Thanksgiving memories are those made at the “kids table”. My brother and I are the only grandchildren on one side of the family and at 27 and 30 years old respectively, we still sit at the “kids” table and it’s still the best place in the world to be! My favorite memory is loading up my moms car with a full Thanksgiving dinner hot and cooked and drove to Reynosa, Mexico to visit my 2 Aunts and my cousins !!! It was so much fun !! Best of all our American tradition of Thanksgiving !! A big bird my little cousin called the turkey … I’m reading from San Antonio, TEXAS !
