Chick-Fil-A agreed to a class action settlement to resolve claims of falsely advertising free delivery or low cost delivery through its mobile app during the recent pandemic. According to the suit, Chick-Fil-A was secretly inflating menu prices on delivery orders only by as much as 30% compared to their in-store prices. While the fast food chain didn’t admit fault they will be paying out a total of $4.4 million to settle the lawsuit and have agreed to disclose menu price differences for delivery orders going forward.
Eligible class members are expected to receive their settlement via a $29.25 cash payment or a $29.25 gift card. You qualify if you’ve ever ordered Chick-fil-A for delivery in California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, or New York between November 1, 2019, and April 30, 2021.
Please note that to submit a claim, you will need to have received an Electronic Mail Notice with a Unique ID. If you believe you are part of this class action settlement, but didn’t receive your notice via mail, you can print out and send in a paper claim form here or contact the Class Action Settlement Administrator to obtain your Unique ID through today, February 15th.
