• Starbucks Charges Extra for No Water or Ice in Refreshers!

Starbucks Refreshers at a Starbucks Counter

Allegedly, starting today May 9th, Starbucks will charge extra when you order one of their Refresher options with less water or without ice.

This comes with the explanation that in the case aforementioned, the concerned drinks take up more base ingredients (fruit juice concentrate and natural flavor) in order to be made. Which bothers customers and baristas that are about to face them.

As things are at the moment, for any customization request on your orders from today, May 9th onwards, you can expect to be charged an additional $1 for no water or ice, or 60¢ for a little water or ice in your Starbucks Refresher.

After the already made changes to the Starbucks Rewards system, this comes as a second hit on the loyal customers’ pocket, which provokes urge for finding alternative solutions to their favorite drinks.

    Starbucks Refreshers at Retail Stores

One of them surely is visiting large store retailers, and getting them in single or multipack options and ready-made for your enjoyment! Some examples of them being:

This way you can enjoy the drinks to your liking without the need for extra charges and you’ll be able to take your customization in your hands!

Another reason why I don’t spend my hard earned money at Starbucks.

Please, people, stop supporting this greedy company 🙏🏾

Also one of the people that ask for less ice because three sips later and the drink is done. They’re “saving” money by putting half a cup of ice and they’re concerned about using up more product? Or rather the amount that they should be putting in in the first place? Ayiyi

Wow ok Starbucks this is ridiculous specially when a drink is almost 6 bucks. Thanks for making me aware @freestufffinder.

Thank you for the notice. I already don’t buy from this company but it’s just appalling how bottomless their greed can be. Several billion dollar company and they can’t make a decent union contract or let an ounce of tea slide by…

I always ask for no water in my ice tea, but I think I’m going to officially boycott this company. Thank you for notifying us about this change 🙏🙏

      So $7 a drink isn’t enough for them? 🤦‍♀️
Just make some at home with fresh tea! 10x better

yeah I’m starting to buy alternatives rather than going to a Starbucks. Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the advance notice. I always get it less ice because I can’t handle it too cold. I think it is bad that they’re doing that. If they still want to keep the amount of liquid, then they can do that. Just don’t add more ice for me. Plus, I would be more upset when ppl ask for no whip cream that they’ll start charging for that. 😫
