Hey teachers! Are you ready to welcome a cute new assistant to your classroom? You can bring a small animal friend into your classroom for free through the Pets in the Classroom Grant Program! Pets in the Classroom is taking applications for the 2026 – 2027 school year!
Note that all teachers who qualify for the Pets in the Classroom program will receive a grant! You can choose what type of pet you want for your classroom, and it even suggests that your students vote on what type of animal they would prefer. If you have previously received the grant, you are only eligible for a sustaining grant to help provide for the classroom pet that you already own. Also, if you no longer have the original pet, you can use the grant to purchase a new pet and supplies.
