If you believe you paid more or less for items than the prices shown on the shelf at a Dollar General store between October 10, 2016, and November 19, 2025, you might be able to get money from a $15 million class action settlement.
Dollar General has agreed to settle a lawsuit that claims the store often charged different prices at checkout than the prices listed on the shelves in its stores across the country.
How To Claim
You have the option to receive your payments through two different methods until April 13th, 2026.
- If you can show proof of being overcharged, you can receive a payment of $10 or the amount of the actual overcharge (whichever is higher) for each separate complaint about different overcharges. Each household can claim up to two payments for a maximum total of $20, or the total of the actual overcharges (whichever is higher). You may head here to submit your claim.
- You can also receive an “In-Store Benefit” without proof of purchase. This is a $3 discount on the first $10 of any purchase of at least $10 (before tax). You can use this discount for a maximum of $3 within a 2-day period at any Dollar General store nationwide. Some exclusions may apply. You do not need to provide proof of a price overcharge to qualify for this In-Store Benefit. Click here if you want to register for in-store benefit.
