FREE Cell Phone Protection (Check Your Credit Card!)

There are lots of amazing benefits offered by credit cards, and many credit card users are not aware of them. It is possible that you even qualify for these benefits already. Most of these benefits will allow you to prevent extra costs on expenses and give you certain extended privileges. One of the major benefits is cell phone protection which allows you to benefit from up to $1500 in reimbursement per year depending on the credit card issuer.

Below are four credit cards issuers and their cell protection benefits.

Wells Fargo $600:

The Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Card allows you to enjoy cell phone insurance for damage or theft of a cell phone with up to $600 per approved claim. With a maximum of two paid claims in a 12 months period, you will get a reimbursement that is limited to the repair or replacement of your original cell phone and a $25 deductible. Please note that you have to pay your monthly cellular telephone bill with your credit card to qualify for this benefit.

Chase Freedom Flex $800:

The Chase Freedom Flex Credit Card allows you to enjoy cell phone protection for up to $800 per claim for a maximum of $1000 per year. This covers scenarios such as phone damage, or theft. All you have to do is ensure you pay your monthly cell phone bill with your card. Each claim comes with a $50 deductible.

Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card $600:

The Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card covers up to $600 per claim with a maximum of three claims and $1800 per 12-month period on damaged or stolen cell phones. All you have to do is ensure you use your credit card to pay your monthly cell phone bills. Coverage can also extend to employees if they are listed on the monthly cell phone bill. Please note that the coverage is supplemental to other qualifying insurance. Also, there is a $100 deductible per claim.

Citi Prestige Card $1000:

The Citi Prestige Credit Card allows up to $1000 per claim with a $50 deductible on damaged or stolen cell phones. The benefit covers up to five cell phones and you have to pay your monthly bill with your credit card. You have a maximum of $1500 per year.
