• Walmart Has Changed Their Shopping Process to Encourage Social Distancing

To promote health, safety and consistency Walmart has changed their Shopping Process for their U.S. stores:

They will limit the number of customers who can be in a store at once. Stores will now allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time.

Associates at a store will mark a queue and direct arriving customers, where they will be counted. Once a store reaches its capacity, customers will be admitted inside on a “1-out-1-in” basis. Once customers check out, they will be directed to exit through a different door than they entered.

Walmart had already taken other steps such as expanding their paid leave policies; closing stores overnight for cleanings; installing sneeze guards and social distance markers in stores; beginning temperature checks; and starting to make gloves and masks available.

Make sure to read their new shopping process policy before heading out to Walmart. Stay safe!
