• The USPS Operation Santa Program LIVE Now!

Tis’ the Season to be Jolly! Holidays are around the corner and so the USPS is once again opening its Operation Santa Program. What better way to make some kiddo happy than by giving them presents they wish so much.

Starting November 28th, you are given this amazing opportunity to help others and spread some holiday cheer. How and what is exactly Operation Santa? Well, every year, the USPS receives bunch of letters from hopeful kids to Santa Claus with their wishes and hopes. Not wanting to throw those letters away, the USPS decided to respond thus beginning what is now known as Operation Santa.

Once letters all over the country are received, the USPS then puts those letters for “adoption”. Once you decide to adopt one (up to 15 are allowed), you can purchase the items on a child’s wish list and then with the help from the USPS, deliver them to the families and in that way bring happiness to those needing it the most. Isn’t it putting a smile on some kids face the best reward one can receive?!

Want to participate? Here’s how! Through December 12th, write your letter to Santa, put it in an envelope with a First-Class Mail stamp, fill in your complete return address (apartment number, directional information and zip code) and mail it to Santa’s official workshop address (below).

    123 Elf Road
    North Pole, 88888

    But First, Follow These Steps:

    • Visit the USPS Operation Santa website and click “letter adoption.”
    • Select “register & verify ID”
    • Create an account and verify your ID and password. (If unable to get approved online then, visit one of the 19,000 participating Post Office locations with a Label Broker service)
    • After you’re approved, you’ll receive an email with detailed information on how to join in!
    • That’s it!

Oh, businesses are also allowed to participate with each employee needing to also go through the verification process. So, through November 28, you need to make registration. Through, December 12, you need to place wish list letters in the mail. And December 21 is the last day for adopters to adopt letters and ship their packages. Adoptions close at 8 pm PST. More about it here!

Santa Clause is coming to town this year too!

I just signed up to try & adopt someone this year. It said more letters will be loaded in 3 hours and 20 minutes (around 7:00 Central). It’s not too late to sign up, get verified, and adopt this year. 🙂
