Target has recently made changes to its coupon policy, and it is important for shoppers to be aware of these updates, especially when it comes to returns. Under the new policy, that took effect last April 24th, if you use a coupon on an item and then decide to return that item, the value of the coupon will no longer be refunded. This means that you will only receive the amount you paid out of pocket for the item.Â
Target now opts not to refund the value of any redeemed coupons, the policy prevents people from buying a ton of products with coupons, only to return them for a profit. These policies are implemented to discourage return fraud. Also, without a receipt, they only allow returns of up to $100 worth of merchandise per year.
Target In-Store Coupons Should Scan and Match To The Master File
Also, Target has added a new bullet point to their coupon policy. Target Manufacturer coupons must now be scanned at the register and should match up to their master file of valid coupons. Coupons not on their master file are not accepted. The new policy aims to reduce coupon fraud and ensure that only valid coupons are used.
Stacking Target In-store Coupons with Ibotta Offers
It’s now more difficult to combine Target in-store coupons with Ibotta offers due to changes to Ibotta. Since August 2022, the Ibotta app lost the option of using Ibotta rebates for online purchases made on Target online. So before you even start shopping, be sure to manually add the offers to your Ibotta account before you shop.
I didnât know that. I lost my $40 coupon that I got it from the Circle Debit Card promotion. I returned the jacket which was too large for me. And I never got any return of coupon from them. Thanks for explaining everything.
