Thanks! I got one for myself a few months ago and was looking for one for my mom! I didn’t think I would use it much when I first got it, but now I use it EVERY DAY!!! I’m vegan so my favorite thing to cook in it is vegetables. I love that you can just put an entire butternut or spaghetti squash inside and it will steam it while! Then it’s so easy to cut! Thanks for sharing this deal!!

Have you cooked rice or corn on the cob in it? I was just looking for a rice cooker but now I’m debating over this.

        • I would definitely choose this! Yes, I’ve made rice and it’s so easy! I also adore the fact that I no longer have to clean water that’s splattered out of the pan during cooking off the stove after I cook rice. I originally bought it for rice. But then realized all the other things I could make in it. I would recommend adding a little more water than the 1-1 ration they recommend or it comes out crunchy. Also, the cooking time chart that is included in the box isn’t correct. Just make sure you cook everything for a bit longer than they say to. After you figure out the correct cooking times, it’s super easy! There are also cookbooks you can get for the instant pot, but so far, I’ve just used Google to see how long other people use to cook things. I also made soy yogurt a few days ago! So easy and so much cheaper than buying it! Beans are also super quick and easy! My favorite function of the instant pot is the “warm” button. It’s so convenient!! I would definitely recommend getting the instant pot!

        • Also, if you decide to purchase it, I would recommend getting a second inner pot. It makes life so much easier! 😆 The glass lid is also convenient too for if you want to just stick the pot in the fridge with the leftovers or if you’re cooking something like yogurt that doesn’t need to be pressurized.

          • Thank you so much for all the information! So the 2nd pot lets you store leftover because it has a lid and you can have a backup pot?

            • I purchased the second pot so if I want to make rice and a pot of beans for the same meal, I don’t have to empty out the rice pot and clean it. I can just remove it from the instant pot and then place the other pot in to make the beans. Also, yes you can use the second pot if the first one is already in the fridge. Life happens. 😆 and I hate looking for containers and matching lids to store leftovers in. It’s easier to just throw the instant pot in the fridge because then to warm it up you just have to put it back in the instant pot and turn it on.

            • Sorry, just to clarify, the second inner pot does not come with a lid. You have to purchase that separately. I chose the glass lid, but you can also get silicone lids as well. I have a few of those too that I found on clearance at Kohl’s last month for $2.99!

          • Ok I understand now. Lol. Thanks again for all the information!!! 🤗

My rice cooker has been acting up. Wondering if I should get this instead of a regular rice cooker. 🤔
