I did this “deal”, and I regret it.

      The math on 24 boxes:
Most boxes come in 24 count on Keurig’s site, especially the cheap ones, so you’ll likely have to buy 24 boxes of 24 count to get it at the cheapest cost. The cheapest coffee right now is 24ct Eight O Clock French Vanilla for about $13. 24 vanilla boxes over a year times 13 is $312, so you’ll be paying out of pocket $312 over the course of year. You will have bought 576 pods, so each pod is $0.55. (You’ll have 12 pods a week this way.)

Donut Shop Great Value (Walmart) coffee is $25 for 96 ct, which is $0.26. For 576 pods, you’ll pay $150.

Keurig deal = 576 pods purchased over a year + $100 K-slim machine (Amazon price) for $312 out of pocket over a year, so retails at $412.

Alternatively, you can buy the $100 K-slim machine outright from Amazon and buy the pods from Walmart for $150, and you’ll have paid $250 out of pocket.

Buying it separately means you’ll save $62. Even more if you’re like me and don’t drink coffee often enough for the amount of pods that they send. 12 pods a week is a little more than 2 cups a day if you’re only counting the work week.

You also won’t be locked into a yearlong commitment buying Keurig pods if you buy it outright. The price of pods might go up over that year, etc.

Literally the only advantage is to get the coffee maker now. But you’ll be paying about 20% more for the “privilege” of getting it right away, and that’s assuming you drink every single pod that is sent to you. For most people, it’s cheaper to put that purchase on a card that has less than 20% APR.

This also assumes that you spend $100 on the K-slim. You can get a mini for $80. You can get any machine for cheaper if you wait for them to go on sale.
