Just wanted to share that the better business bureau recently shared an increase in complaints against Noom. People try to cancel after the trial and are still charged unfairly. Just the messenger.

I am a current Noom member and I enjoy it but it’s not without flaws. The trial is very introductory as you don’t get the full Noom experience. You’ll learn the basics but you won’t be able to take anything away from it without actually becoming a paid member. Trial excludes group coaching, most color-coding and food logging, and in-depth learning. You’ll be interacting with a trial coach who will reassign you to your actual personal coach after the trial.

Cancelling does require you to contact your coach, and they do warn you that if you cancel after business hours (like 3pm ET) on the 14th day or on a weekend, you will be charged for the membership. You’re gambling with this timeframe, to be honest, and waiting until the last minute will burn you and not your calories. Haha!

Overall, it’s good but it does require you to log 3-5 times a day and read 10 minutes of learning articles which can become repetitive but with changes. I found myself not participating for days because it commands quite a bit of attention, which can be hard to provide between home, work, and life for me. But when I do use it and get on track, it’s fun. It really is.

Does Noom work? Yes. I lost weight. Even with gyms closed for the last several months here in California. Like 20lbs over 2 months. Woah! But, it does take effort and the 14 day trial will give you an idea of what it is but you’ll take nothing away from it until you pay.

      Just sharing my experience.
