So i see all these great posts about CVS Extrabucks where you spend $20 and get $10 in extra bucks so it makes it free with additional coupons. I get Wowwed all the time and yes a bit Jealous.
Everytime I put the items in basket and spend over $20 or the $20 and coupons attach bringing it down to around $10, I get excited hit the Qualifies for Extrabucks under product and it says I need to spend $10 more to Qualify😖😖
So i am NEVER able to get those great deals that i read about and get frustrated wondering….
What the heck am i doing wrong????
Not only CVS but Walgreens as well.
Someone Please tell me wth i am doing wrong so we can jump in on those great deals?

Jaymachco you might want try doing your shopping in the store for cvs. For some reason- deals will work better in store. The CRT [ cvs store coupons ] work instore- not online…. And yes- seeing is believing. Do not give up! Stay positive! Yes you can do it too.
Thanks for the response and suggestion. I have done the Math over and over and it DOES NOT make sense. Spend X get Y X=$20 and Y=$10. Spend X after coupons, discounts and Taxes = $20 and get Y=$10. If X=$17then No Y=$10. It is that simple.
Yet people claim that spend X after coupons,discounts and taxes =$197then they still get Y($10).
????? Not Possible unless a glitch in system which may occur randomly but bot Constantly.
So Why post something that cannot happen?
In theory it is a wonderful thing but reality is you never get (Y), it just sounds like a great deal IF you did. 🙂↔️🙂↔️🙂↔️

Thanks all for suggestions. What I am asking is… I see people post a complete breakdown of what they ordered (I.e : I got a great deal from CVS here it is. I got 4 P&G items Downey, Tide, Bounce and Gain each for $5.00 less $2.00 each with digital coupon.
Now only $12.00 plus I got $10 extra bucks for spending $20 on P&G. Total 🟰 $2.00 for all four items). That was just an example of what I read on all these community chats.
When I attempt to do it i get { 4 P&G items as mentioned, attach the $8 in digital coupons and my Extrabucks say “Only $8 more Dollars to your $10 EB}
How do all these people get that great deal and I DON’T!?!?!
In short are all these people lying 🤥? Or am i just missing something? If people are Bs ing then please stop. If they are getting then let those of us who don’t know the secret. 🤐 thanks again
The p&g manufacturer rebate I think is 10 off of 30.00 that’s a total of 30.00 before sales/ coupons… so for example if the bounty paper towels are on sale for 19.99 and you get tide for 9.99 you’re still under the 30.00 and won’t qualify. I usually plan CVS based on sales and what I use and need. As far as Walgreens.. they have all these special rules and special deals tied to your account it’s far too complicated to try and figure out for myself. I tried to do a planned dollar general clipped digital coupons and failed miserably so I don’t know what I did because I read all the fine print so I thought. Keep at it. I know CVS does work and that’s no Bologna.
Thanks but I used P&G as an example. Not the actual P&G’s rebates. I am just referring to the people who claim to only pay $2.00 after getting Extra bucks.
If you need to spend $20 to get EB then the total spent after coupons and before taxes should be $20 to get the offer. Not $20 in product less $8 in offers which is now $12….. in don not get the $10 in EB (EB is Extrabucks*) sorry for not doing that earlier.
To bring total paid is $2.00.
The math doesn’t work and I keep seeing the post claiming that is the scenario to only Pay $2.00.

I am the same as you explained. But others are posting that they get a great deal without meeting the $20 example requirement and they get a great deal. 🤔🤔
As for walgreens, its is really complicated at times. When I started couponing there I had to start off only doing small transactions one or two deals to learn and watched many youtube videos explaining how to properly coupon there. Even then I made a few mistakes at checking out. Depending on the type of deal you are trying to do you might not be allowed to use w cash/ or registry rewards (rr) in order to receive the new deals (rr) or w cash….maybe that can be the issue. (Picture attached explains this)
You also cannot do multiple ‘deals of the week’ in the same transaction. You will only receive one deal not both. You would have to make separate transactions. You also cannot receive a certain registry reward from a certain brand deal and then try to use it on the same deal of items in a new transaction, it has to be different products or it will not work.
On top of that you have to watch out with number of items ratio to coupons plus trying to use a store coupon (printed coupon paper at register)plus they can only attach to certain deals. I believe. Hope this helps a bit. But definitely search through Walgreens coupon rules on their website, it goes into extended detail. Good luck!

You are welcome. To expand on your p&g explanation post, I feel like it is a hit and miss depending on store. Your store is probably seeing your transaction as “spend X amount of money after coupon and deals have applied” so thats why when you reach your $20 limit, but bc you use $8 in coupons it drops your subtotal to $12 and counting it as not reaching the $20 limit. Which is why it tells you you need 8 more dollars in order to receive the ECB.
I can never do those deals either my stores do not allow it.
For example many people use the $5 off $25 coupon at a Dollar General on saturdays while using coupons and can get their total to be like $3. But my stores do not allow that. Because the $5 off $25 coupon does technically state in small print, “subtotal needing to be $25 after all deals and coupons have applied”. I honestly do feel like its a state/location thing that allows those transactions or not.
These people who get great deals and it works for them though are not lying about it, many videos on youtube show their step by step hauls in store along with cashier screen and receipt.
I will say too that I use to extreme coupon at cvs weekly deal after deal getting items cheap. beginning of this year though slowly things started changing at my store. I tried doing a toothpaste deal which was using a cvs coupon spend so much get $ off coupon for toothpaste as well as manufacture coupon. When the cashier hit total the cvs coupon was not coming off. I asked him and he told me they changed things (idk if individual stores can make their own changes since I also still see people doing the same transactions yet it works for them) but he told me that now the spend deals come off last. And because my subtotal didn’t reach it wasn’t working. I always use to do these transactions and seeing the change at least in my store was sad. I haven’t been back since trying once more at self checkout and it being the same situation.
Sometimes you may need to do a couple transactions . I extreme coupon here and am in the top 1% of the most savings

Hello, make sure you check if the items you get qualify by reading the fine print. You can check before hand by adding the items you’re going to buy in your cart (on the app) and seeing if they qualify. You can always contact CVS support as well 🙂

Jaymahco you asked a lot of great questions. They cross my mind as well. I kind of think that there are many glitches still in the process at the individual stores because I can do one at Walgreens, getting all the deals. Then I go a few blocks down the street to another location and it doesn’t work ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Sometimes it can be down the the flavor of the toothpaste and I didn’t get the correct one 😆
Thanks and Yes I have had that happen to me as well. I started back up couponing in the past two years since i was Medically forced to retire 😠. So we started a small group of people to Purchase as much for as little as possible ( pretty sire if you are reading this then so are you 🤣😊). We then once a month Donate to different places. Its great, it helps keep the old noggin working , its fun and time consuming.<~ no issue with spending the time. However I have come to the conclusion that some people are just full of it and i have to stop 🛑 believing them and hunt for it. because if you MUST SPEND $20 to get it then it’s $20 not $12.$8,$18 or whatever. Yes sometimes there is a glitch and we ALL love that😊😊😊 so maybe i need to stop believing some people on those “Great Deal!!!” That involve said scenarios.
