Ibotta made changes to the coupon usage policy overnight. From this point forward coupons of any kind, including store rewards, are not allowed. There are offers specifically saying that coupons cannot be used and offers without this stipulation. One article on Ibotta Help page says to look for these specifications, but it is now older than the newest Coupon policy. They are tracking coupon usage very hard and people are noticing starting today that the rebates are not applied if coupons are used. Will see how it plays out and how it will work in the future, but changes are in place now. Be careful when shopping and using Ibotta from now on.
They changed the rules again
Luckily, not many rebates have âno couponsâ option.
Yes, but they posted new rules just this night that none of the offers will be combining with coupons. Will see how it goes.
Will definitely see. If youâre using in app coupons â fetch, swagbucks etc, then ibotta would not find out about it. Iâm not even sure how digital coupons are going to be tracked â at Publix, for example, all coupons line up in the end with VENDOUR COUPON without specification what product it is. I imagine, wonât be possible to use at Walmart as coupons go right under the item. All I can say that ibotta isnât going to generate ad much revenue with their new rules, as most people coupon to make money, or get items for free while stacked with other offers. Not to save .30 on Palmolive which Iâve gotten the other day lol.
It’s already expensive $1 for a $5 item or must buy 2, and high cashout minimum. For now Fetch and Shopkick accept coupons đ
